2014 American River Culvert Replacement Time-Lapse Video

This video is an example of the important restoration work of the Nez Perce Tribe Fisheries Watershed Division. The American River Culvert Replacement project replaced two 11 foot wide culverts at the mouth of American River with one 46 foot 9 inch, open bottom arch culvert. The existing culverts were a barrier to adult steelhead during high flows. The project opened approximately 200 miles of stream habitat in the American River watershed.
