Eight rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes arrived at Washington United Terminals in late May on board the 768-foot Zhen Hua 25 from China. Our timelapse camera captured the unloading process of three RTGs over about two days.
The equipment is among the first pieces ordered to serve the Grand Alliance shipping calls set to begin in late June. These RTGs meet strict environmental regulations for air pollution and will allow the terminal to increase its capacity. Read more »
