Little Kolibri Orchid

Timelapse of a Little Kolibri Orchid flower opening. I took images for over a week, one image every 5 minutes. Only the last 12.5 hours are shown here, it took quite a while before changes were becoming visible - I've learned to see when a bloom becomes active and about the open now. The flower was set on a table illuminated with a desk halogen light, camera on tripod, black cloth as background, manual exposure settings, camera power via a 220V mains adapter.  Read more »
